The part has a strain relief clamp inside and even a small screwdriver is included. I replaced the DB15 connector on my car OBD scanner! This saved me from buying a new $50 cable! The part makes a pretty solid impression. Due to the internal screw terminal blocks, the housing is slightly larger than the original connector (approx. 3/4 inch longer), but this should not be a problem in most situations. There are no instructions, but someone is doing a similar repair. should already be familiar with how it works. The part arrived quickly and was packaged in one ziplock bag within another to ensure no parts were lost.
