I love that it has an LCD screen that shows if it runs on 9 or 12 volts. I use this to power the camera from a USB DC power adapter so I don't drain the stock camera batteries. I used to use a battery bank/power supply with a dedicated DC output, but these are nowhere to be found now. This adapter allows me to use standard power supplies and increase the voltage to meet my camera's needs without sacrificing too much performance during the conversion. The only thing worth noting is that it is difficult for him to work at low temperatures. Typically it operates well above 36 degrees Fahrenheit. If you intend to use it in colder temperatures, you may need to cover it with a hand warmer or keep it close at hand in your pocket to prevent the components from freezing.
