Without a smartphone, it is not possible to record videos or photos.

Before I bought it, I specifically asked if it was possible to take photos without a smartphone. The manufacturer's response was "Hello, yes you can. photos and videos too”. It is not true. You take a photo/video by aligning your mobile phone lens with one of the eyepieces. I was expecting to be able to snap an image by pressing a button on the binoculars while looking through, with the image being stored on a removable SD card or similar facility.
