The setup was bad for me because I have a lot of experience with electronics and weird little devices with impossible menu systems. This is the only problem you might have with the device. The relay is solid and the PID is small and unobtrusive. I strongly recommend that you insulate whatever you are heating/cooling as much as possible to use this temperature controller effectively. I currently use it to temper steel after hardening and it keeps the temperature (in a well insulated furnace) within 1.5 degrees of the set temperature. The SSR is rated for 10 million clicks, is completely silent and should last for quite a while. I wrote a guide for the person I bought it for as a gift and see no reason not to share it here. This guide is in no way affiliated with the manufacturer Revain.com. It's just a more organized guide than what came with the product or was previously available online. I hope you find them useful!
