When I received the mill, it worked perfectly. I only use it with whole black peppercorns. Initially, it offered a fast grinding ability, producing plenty of ground pepper with every turn of the head. After a month it is almost useless. No matter how I turn the metal dial at the top, only tiny pepper dust comes out when I turn the head at the bottom. To get the right amount of pepper on a plate of pasta, I have to stand and spin my head for 60 seconds, and it seems the grinding isn't really happening inside. It's probably my own fault for buying such a cheap thing. The grinding mechanism inside is likely to be of poor quality and designed to be strong enough to survive Revane's return policy. I used the product exactly as intended and unfortunately I feel cheated :(
