They are great for the price. But . First call Moen and explain why your faucet valves have failed. Most of the time, they're still dripping when you turn them off. Moen will provide a FREE replacement IF you are the original owner/buyer. In my case they came with a house that was about a year old, so the builder who lived in it before he sold it to me was the 'original owner' of the valves and Moen refused to replace them for me . Great price for four of them! Make sure you understand that there are basically three types of Moen valves. For the shower there is a single valve that you pull out to open and then turn right or left to make it warmer or colder. I think it's 1225? And there is still a single valve for hot / cold water, which is not pulled out, but pushed. It's a 1222, it just starts out cold and as you spin it mixes the hot water until it's completely hot. Usually found in bathrooms. 1224 (these valves) are hot water only or cold water only and are used in pairs on sink faucets or some bathtubs. You simply control how much flow is from off to full flow for hot or cold. Be careful when you take the old one out - there are some subtle features like a tab or slot (hard to describe) in the white plastic/nylon that will determine which way the valve turns when you put it all back together! I installed one of these the wrong way around (exit at 3am instead of 9am maybe?) and now my wife's cold water faucet turns in the opposite direction as before! You may need a Moen extraction tool to pry the old one out - I found small pliers worked great for me.
