I bought a mini size for my little Yorkshire/Lhaso Apso hybrid who is just starting obedience training. She weighs only 4 pounds, has a 7 inch neck and very long silky hair, making it difficult to attach and remove traditional collars. The only viable option is a stand-up collar. However, even the smallest collars are too big and heavy, so I use an elastic cat collar, which fits most cases, but when she's excited (e.g. meeting another dog) she can pull away. Collar. Martingale collar is perfect for my situation. After initial adjustment, you can slip it on and off, but with each squeeze it tightens and maintains control. The initial setup was a bit tricky, but you only have to do it once. I really like this collar for the price. I have no idea if larger sizes work.
