Good quality, functional design

I like this collar style for two reasons. It is easy to put on and take off. No buckles, just put it on your dog's head. The second reason is that it gives me control without the cruel and dangerous way a chain collar does. My Puggle is still learning to walk properly on a leash and has a tendency to pull on the end of the leash at times. With a chain collar she would choke, but with this collar it contracts and becomes uncomfortable, but with a wider woven design it doesn't start to cut off…

Perfect training collar for my little Yorkie.

I bought a mini size for my little Yorkshire/Lhaso Apso hybrid who is just starting obedience training. She weighs only 4 pounds, has a 7 inch neck and very long silky hair, making it difficult to attach and remove traditional collars. The only viable option is a stand-up collar. However, even the smallest collars are too big and heavy, so I use an elastic cat collar, which fits most cases, but when she's excited (e.g. meeting another dog) she can pull away. Collar. Martingale collar is perfect

Won't hold on and can snag vegetation without a leash

A good friend highly recommended this collar to my husky dog who is a hunter and therefore a puller and so can only be let loose in her enclosure. So the price was right and I tried it. Having only used it once, following PetSafe's instructions carefully and watching a few videos online, I found that after just a few minutes the collar was loose enough for my dog to easily slip out. I quickly got her into an area where I could pull the collar right off her head (yes, it was solved that way) and

The best collars.

I bought 3 medium sized Petsafe collars for all 3 dogs under 70lbs and they all fit perfectly. I order here and from Chewy. All three of my dogs (2 pit bulls, 1 greyhound shepherd mix) have one thing in common: they have small snouts and broad necks. Ordinary collars from which they can slip or slip out. They call the Martingale Petsafe Collar "NON-SLIP COLLAR" because they can't slip out of the collar while on the leash. Volunteer Animal Shelter uses Petsafe martingale collars for every medium

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Quick Guide

This collar did not fit us. When we first brought our dog home from the shelter, she pulled back the leash and collar. We have used martingale collars to keep them from pulling on our collar. This collar is durable and has strong metal hardware, but it's not adjustable! All martingale collars are easily adjustable - that's good, but this collar doesn't always adjust! It comes off very quickly (e.g. within a few hours) and then sits very low on the neck. If you let him go for a day (because…

The design is not the same as in previous years.

For clarity I have included a product image with reference to compare to my product images. I bought one of these in 2013 through Revain Records. So I ordered a new one and was wondering why it was so hard to get over my dog's head, especially his ears. Two tries above his head and now he hides when I hold him in my hand. Yes, the fit is correct, but that neck size is a fixed size that doesn't change. Typically, a martingale collar billows when loose and tight when tightened. No, in this case…

  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Only available in black

I ordered the right size. Slipped on my boy. Fits exactly. BUT. I don't understand how this is supposed to work. Pulling on the D-ring that attaches to the sheet does nothing except tighten the leash. The secondary loop is just a collar. It really only adds 4 inches to the leash. Photo 1 at rest. Photo 2 pulls like her. The collar circumference has not changed. I wanted to send it back but unfortunately it can't be removed so I had to cut it off. There is no buckle and I can't fit the…

YOUR DEFECT - no! Read this first!

Many people have said their collars are defective and have shown photos to prove it is a "non-martingale" collar. And to be honest, this product doesn't come with any pictures or instructions to really show how to use it for the first time, so I can see how confusing it can be. So I've provided photos to show how to position the collar the way it should be, starting with it straight out of the box. 1st image: This is an example of people showing "defective" and not working. And they are right…

The only collar that can save your dog's life.

These collars save dogs' lives. I was walking down a trail with my dogs on leashes when an off-leash dog walking with his owner decided to attack my dog at the very last moment as we passed without any signs or warnings. Using my reflexes I pulled my dog (oh, a little for my dog) who squeezed her neck and pulled her into my arms and out of reach of the other dogs so that she only had a lot of drool on her side instead of biting. After this event her neck was fine, no damage, oddities, bruises…
