These appear to be typical carbon block cartridges. However, it took too long to wash them off. I have about 60psi of pressure on the filters, two of which are in parallel, so the flow back pressure is lower and the flow rate remains acceptable, and the contact time is increased and the carbon dust keeps flowing in the water. I ended up just replacing the pleated filter (after the carbon filters) to catch the dirt. It's so annoying that it casts doubt on how well they were made (strength, cracks, binding) and I can't open them to see them. see, so I don't get her again. Sometimes when you're trying to save a few bucks, you just go too far.
