The Yeworth USB to Cigarette Lighter Converter provides a convenient way to charge low-power car accessories from your favorite power bank or other USB source to use if your source can supply sufficient current (>2.4A if trying to use a 1A car accessory). There is a status indicator that indicates the presence of power: it is hidden in a translucent case. My unit has performed acceptably for my purposes, but it is showing a voltage drop and is getting a little warm. At idle, the output delivered the expected 12.0V. With a load of just over 800mA, the voltage dropped to 11.8V. After some "boiling" at this current and then increasing the load to 900 mA, the output voltage dropped to 11.4 V. The converter block had become hot by now. The highest temperature I found was 155 degrees Fahrenheit (68 degrees Celsius) on the outside of the case just above the filter capacitor. I haven't checked if the temperature is approaching equilibrium. I assume the heat is enough to limit its lifespan. While lighter loads are better, you can get close to 12v with amps unless and until the heat "reaches" something.
