My TPMS light started flashing 10 minutes after start up. This indicates a system malfunction. Low tire pressure is signaled by a permanently lit TPMS indicator. I immediately suspected that the tire pressure sensor was no longer working. This product requires no programming if you are looking for the right car app. In my case it was a 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback. The hardest part about this purchase was finding a tire shop willing to install it. They all wanted me to buy their TPMS sensors which are about $90 each. Then you have to pay for mounting the tire on the rim. I found a really good tire shop in the country and the owner did it for me no questions asked - for $20. In fact, after 5 minutes of driving, the TPMS light went out. Everything's OK again. Beware of tire dealers who won't touch this unless you use their parts and pay their high prices. Find a good corner shop or mechanic and avoid outrageous dealer prices.
