**UPDATE 9/8/16** I've had them less than 90 days and they're already starting to fail! :-(. Today the TPMS light came on again telling me I need to replace at least one of these. That's a great price and not worth replacing every 90 days! , Once the TPMS light came on it went them out The prices don't bite! I bought four for less than the price of one from the Nissan dealer! Installing four of these on my tires and from the local tire company cost me an additional $40.
I replaced a leaking OEM sensor and a dead battery OEM sensor with a VDO Redi sensor on my 2009 Infiniti G37x. Used ATEQ VT31 to find the faulty sensor and get the code for two working sensors. I used ATEQ Quick Set to upload new codes to the ECU. The VDO REDI sensor is already encoded, there is no need for annoying subsequent cloning. My mechanic noticed that the battery size on this sensor was much larger than the cheap imitations. After installing the VDO REDI sensor, setup takes no longer…
I have a Genesis coupe that was rebuilt after an accident and needed a complete front wheel replacement. The guy doing the job had no idea about TPMS and when I picked up the car there seemed to be a TPMS light on the dash so I bought this and went back and asked the guy to install it (no TPMS tool or anything it wasn't required) then started the car and after about 30 minutes the TPMS light went out! When I told him about the result, he was amazed! Of course, before buying, I read the reviews…
Installed on Friday and worked Friday and Saturday. Had taken my truck for a longer drive and got a tire pressure sensor error message on all four wheels! Terrible! Didn't even work for a week! UPDATE May 10th: Today one of them accidentally started working again. didn't even have these things for two weeks. what a mess. Run away from them as far as possible and stick to the OEM sensors! Last update May 12th: Now the second sensor is working again. not even owned these things for 11 days. I…
When I first spoke to some installers, they talked about having to program the device for the car, which would cost more money. I had the block installed and as you can see from the photos it wasn't my OEM or regular steering wheel; This is a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. After that was done, I got in the car and started it, the TPMS system light was still on. I live about 5 miles from where I did the work and to my surprise the lights went out before I got home and now it's working…
My TPMS light started flashing 10 minutes after start up. This indicates a system malfunction. Low tire pressure is signaled by a permanently lit TPMS indicator. I immediately suspected that the tire pressure sensor was no longer working. This product requires no programming if you are looking for the right car app. In my case it was a 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback. The hardest part about this purchase was finding a tire shop willing to install it. They all wanted me to buy their TPMS sensors which…
Pros
High marks for support and durability from testers
I suggest you fit these if you are buying/fitting NEW tires otherwise you will most likely have to pay to fit them onto your existing tires. After installation (requires removing current tires from rims, installing in rim and reinstalling tire). If you have the gear and know how to fix tires, that's fine. Most people don't do this and leave it to a professional tire shop. I have made. The same tire shop I've been going to for 12 years. Once installed, they need to be synchronized with your…
I bought two sets of four VDO SE10001HP REDI sensors for a 2008 Mazda 5 minivan and a 2008 Nissan Altima sedan. One of the four original Schrader TPMS Altima sensors failed and the other two were replaced within 7-8 years. The Mazda 5's tires needed replacing, so it's time to replace the 8-year-old sensors. These sensors are the best you can buy for your car. VDO is a division of Continental and the German division has a long history of producing quality instruments and sensors for use in the…
