If you are using this product and the food you are cooking or heating is an even weight or even distribution of pressure points, it will work perfect. Unfortunately I used it in a pot to prevent the cans from touching the bottom of the pot. The problem I found was that the internal slats of this unit are too flexible and can move causing the glasses to fall on the floor. This is an easy design flaw to fix and hopefully the manufacturer will add support ribs to prevent this.
