Bought this hob to replace one that was showing its age. Only had to cut an inch of the countertop to fit the new hob. Compatible with natural gas and propane gas. Including conversion kit. Directions are a little disorganized but I was able to find all the information I needed. You can purchase a universal gas stove connection kit at your local hardware store that will fit. Tools needed when I did the install. 1) Drain locks 2) A set of 7mm head ratchets if you convert to propane. 3) Lubricant for tubes to install regulator. 4) Electric jigsaw for counter cutting if necessary. cutting required. In just over an hour, the old hob was removed and the new one installed. Lightweight and easy to use. Plugs into a standard 120 volt outlet. The heating is exceptional but this is being compared to an old hob from the 1980's so it might feel like a new appliance. In general, the purchase is satisfied. Comes with a foam gasket to bypass the bottom of the hob when countertop mounted, but I will seal it with clear silicone to achieve that permanent look.
