You opened it and read other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. There are also concerns that they are not even biodegradable. They look plasticky, but have a brown, translucent appearance and dark brown spots that don't necessarily look good for what you're putting in your mouth. I'm going to try coconut straws, everything I've read sounds promising. If they don't work I come back and edit them, but other than that it's just what it takes. Definitely try metal straws if you haven't already. I've been using them for a long time but need another option for mobile use or when the metal straws are in the dishwasher. Coconut + metal straws might come in handy!
