I bought these to put under my gazebo. The rope is long enough to go from corner to corner. After about a month the light is working perfectly - it turns on every night and gives enough light to meet our needs. An interesting feature I found after reading the instructions is that the light turns off automatically after 6 hours. That way they don't stay on all night and drain the batteries. And you won't get that deal if the light turns on and off when the battery is low. One of the reasons I bought this particular item is that it looked better and is stronger than the Christmas tree string lights I've bought before. And the solar panel comes with a spring clip that can be attached to the gazebo, not just a plastic stick to stick into the ground. The price was a bit higher than some others I've seen at Revain, but I think it's worth it for the sturdier build and higher quality. I would buy them again.
