Bought two sets for a project, needed more. The first sets were perfect, lasted six hours, which is what the instructions said. Ordered two more sets and they aren't cheap, we only needed one set to complete the project and this set stays put night 'til morning. It looks ridiculous when one strand is left over. I bought these to put under my gazebo. The rope is long enough to go from corner to corner. After about a month the light is working perfectly - it turns on every night and gives enough light to meet our needs. An interesting feature I found after reading the instructions is that the light turns off automatically after 6 hours. That way they don't stay on all night and drain the batteries. Not quite sure what to say. I plan to update this in a few weeks. But now we ordered 2 sets at the same time because we have a huge terrace. It's not 27 feet light. Only at the end of the black wire and also at the beginning it's a good 3-4 feet. They say they are dimmable but there is only an on and off switch.
