Connects easily to my computer and powered speakers. People who complain of a loose fit either have a defective cable or the connector on their device doesn't meet specifications. Both ends are secure but not too tight. Remember that the optical signal is strong enough to work with a cable within an inch of the connector. It doesn't have to be very tight, it just doesn't have to fall out. The cable is very thin, making it easy to pull through small gaps. Just be careful not to push it too hard or the fiberglass will break.
