I had a grinder with blades that worked well, but especially when I was trying to get an even, fine espresso, it just didn't fit. So I bought this inexpensive coffee grinder. You can set a wide range of fineness and also set a timer. I'm not sure why the latter is so important - it's easy to stand next to the machine, turn it on and off, and it grinds so quickly you don't have to move away from it. I ground some coffee on the finest setting and it gave an almost silky grind, the particles are very small and very consistent. I can't say anything about the durability of the machine, but so far so good!
