Review on πŸ”Œ RSHTECH 4 Port USB C to USB 3.0 Hub Expander - Portable Aluminum USB 3.0 Splitter with 5V AC Adapter, Individual On/Off Switches - RSH-516-C by Faliere Jorge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Was only able to turn on 2 of the 4 devices I need to run this laptop.

So I have a gaming laptop that I use as a flow controller. The problem with the laptop is that I only have 3 USB A 3.1 ports and 1 USB C port, not enough ports as I also have a USB mixer and another USB camera to connect. So, 4 HDMI capture devices, all USB 2.0 but require power. 1 USB mixer 1 USB camera 1 Blue tooth dongle. 4. So I buy this USB adapter. Wow, I thought it was powered separately and states verbatim that it is designed to access powered USB and is compatible with us USB 1.1 and 2. It's a walk in the park. Plug in my 4 Hdmi recordings using only USB 2.0 bandwidth which still leaves plenty of scope to maneuver a Gigabit USB-C port connection. Hmm. 3? NO. 2? Oh okay we can get 2 ok I just plug my blender in there because it's so low on power NO. OK, what about my key? NO. Wow. 2 HDMI shots and this thing is maxed out. So it's actually a 2-port splitter, not a 4-port splitter if you really need to power your USB 2.0 devices. This contributed to my being unable to stream this Halloween. So yeah I don't know what to suggest for a POWERED USB connector but not this one.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not reliable
