Finally tried it. Sunny day in upstate New York. Place it on top of a slightly discharged lead-acid battery and connect a high quality FLIR non-contact (inductive) DC ammeter to one of the leads. 1.36 amps. The voltage shows 13 volts. That loads. And in one hour my battery has 17 watt hours more power. Very satisfied. This was for essentials like charging the battery to run the 4 watt UV sterilizer and charging the batteries for the handheld radio. Just a note. Depending on where you place the shadow on this panel, the current will drop a little or a lot. No problem for a small panel. This is likely an artifact of how individual small cells are connected. But just something to be aware of. Considering the cost, I would happily accept such a feat. I've only ordered 6 of these in the past few months.
