Should work great. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the hole for the front dowel was not big enough so it had to be adjusted. The wood is very soft, let's see if it holds up. It's a big box maybe a bigger one could have been used but I wanted them to have enough space to be in there together and they have a big apartment style cage so I knew it would fit. Therefore, before purchasing the XL, you should measure your cage to ensure you have enough space for it. I also wish it had the concave bottom mentioned by another reviewer but I'll make sure they have enough linens so hopefully that won't be a problem.
