Review on πŸ”Œ ETL Listed 6-Outlet Surge Protector Wall Outlet Extender with 2 USB Charging Ports, 2.4A and 490 Joules – Ideal for Home, School, Office by Eric Avina

Fur. Bulky. Only supplies ONLY 2.4A over USB. Cheaper options available

I received these to replace a power strip that had a 2 port USB charger plugged into it. This charger (from a store that sells everything for less than $5) provided 2.4 amps through one port and 1 amp through the other. I still have several of these in the house. This one is nice because it mounts to the wall for a cleaner look. I left the exit plate with the center screw removed and screwed this device through this hole. When I bought this device, I didn't realize that although it has two USB ports, it ONLY has 2.4A. So when I connected an iPhone and a tablet, the iPhone charges slower than before. I'm also seeing the price go up $1 while seeing similar devices costing less than what I paid for them. For all of these reasons, although it's not a bad module, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Pros
  • Power strips and surge protectors
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
