Review on 🌱 Top-Quality 100% Compostable 12 oz. Paper Bowls [125-Pack] - Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable Bagasse Made of Sugar Cane Fibers by Eric Graves

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent bowls with not very strong smell.

These bowls are amazing for the price (I bought 125 for $11.67). Structurally they would be hard to beat as they have proven to withstand multiple nasty storms (literally left outside in the rain) while maintaining their structural integrity. The caveat, unfortunately, is that they literally smell like light vomit. (This is the best comparison I can think of in terms of smell). We use them to feed neighborhood cats and feral colonies of cats. Both my husband and I were initially concerned that the smell of the bowls would deter cats, but luckily this didn't become a problem. The listing says they are made from 100% SUGAR CANE FIBER, but I am almost 100% sure the packaging is MOLDED FIBER**. I know this because I actually remember telling my husband almost immediately after seeing it (to explain the smell we both found so distasteful). Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I really don't know what else to say other than personally I don't use them just for the smell but they are great for cats. As mentioned they are quite difficult to separate but it actually took me less than 5 minutes to quickly separate them and then put them all back together which made later separation/use much easier. one of the most environmentally friendly food packaging because they close the loop. The staple fiber is made from residues from consumption, while bagasse is made from renewable raw materials such as sugar cane or wheatgrass.
