Review on 🔒 Upgradeable Shielded and Unshielded Triplett LVPRO30SR by Sean Young

I bought this item purely based on reviews and had really high hopes that it would be a good tool. Before receiving this device, I never had the opportunity to see it in person before purchasing it. Based on my first hour of ownership, this will be the first and last Triplet product I will purchase. For the price of the device, I expected better workmanship from the tester. The battery cover of the device that was sent to me could not be closed completely, as it turned out that one of the battery contacts was missing, which caused the cover to bulge noticeably in the middle. The tester, which snaps into place at the bottom of the unit, wasn't held properly and kept wanting to fall backwards and detach. Did the "Smart" testers that came in the kit I received look used? Tester number 5 has already punched through the sticker to eventually get to the screw underneath. The separate plastic packaging that the smart testers were shipped in was opened and resealed at some point. Out of 8 smart testers, 4 showed errors or incorrect cable labels. All 10 locators supplied with the tester passed the test normally. The problem only occurred with smart testers.
