These boots did the job well (kept paws dry and warm), were good value and were easy to put on and take off for our little 17 year old 5 lb Rat Terrier. As mentioned in other reviews, boots must be waterproof to be used in rain or slush/sleet (as opposed to dry snow). However, in boots, the paws stayed dry and warm in the dry snow, which was just what we needed. The only exception was when she hit what I called the "deep end" (i.e. snow that was fresh and over her boots), some snow accumulated on top of her boots. The good news is that even as snow accumulated at the top, the inside of her boots stayed dry due to the laces covering the top of the boots. It's less a problem with the boot than her being partially blind and accidentally wandering into deeper snow. So I may have to look around for a pair of High Dog socks in the future, but overall these boots were a win for us. I walked in them easily, my paws dried after our walks in the fresh air, and they were inexpensive.
