I have replaced the rear main oil seal and oil pan gasket on my 02 Grand Cherokee 3 times and they leak every time. Many houses are in this. I have followed all directions. I think the crankshaft was scratched. I gave up, just kept an eye on the oil level and drove like crazy. Then I found a brand new Wrangler and got it. So this Jeep went to a new home via Ebay. He knew about IVs, I think they all do. But overall the quality of this pad is excellent. I don't think that's what caused my leak. Just make sure you read how it's done, how to install it (soap with plastic wrap) and seal everything with proper Mopar sealants, nothing else. There is also a video there.
