The battery case has a rubber coating that works like an O-ring to prevent water ingress. I will decide whether to install it outside as the brightness may not be enough. REVIEW AFTER WINTER: I installed this set outside in a small cabin where I keep my stuff. It was very cool. I protected the battery compartment. Set the remote for the module to 6 o'clock. It worked perfectly and was lit at 7pm every night. The battery lasted until the end of January. I removed this week (mid April) and he was in great shape. I recommend. For this reason I raised a star.
