Yes there is a reason for every knife to have a sheath, they are very sharp.

A few years ago I gave a friend a ceramic knife and warned her that it was sharp and should be handled with care. She didn't listen and later showed me a bandaged finger on which she made a good cut. Some people use relatively safe plastic lettuce cutting blades on lettuce that don't tend to brown the lettuce like steel does. Ceramic also does not cause darkening, but it is not entirely harmless. I think the sharpness is on par with some of the sharpest chef's knives and it doesn't dull easily. It is also very hard but can chip or break if used on an unsuitable cutting surface. It should not be used to cut bone, stone, or very hard cut surfaces. It is ideal for slicing vegetables, steaks, chicken breasts and pork but avoid slicing with bones. You don't want to cut it. This is a good set that allows you to use a larger fork to cut meat and a larger fork to cut carrots or celery. I like how the remedy works on broccoli. Believe it or not, the best part about broccoli isn't the florets, it's the inside of the stalk. If you can find a few thick-stemmed grapes, use these knives to snip the tough rind off the outside of the stem, then chop up the rest to steam or fry. Try it, it's awesome, way better than flowers. I still can't believe my mom cut off the stems to throw away, what a waste. I wish the included cleaning tool used a ceramic blade, but it uses steel. I have a ceramic one and it's pretty good, it's cleaner than steel and doesn't rust, but the price of the set is still good. highlighted.
