Defective. Returned. The wiring harness was improperly attached. He fried the controller and reset the codes on the truck. When comparing the received adapter wiring harness with the pictures in the product description, it is noticeable that it is not attached correctly. If you want this on an F-Series truck, just spend the extra $10 and get a factory controller. It bases the trailer braking on the hydraulic pressure in the truck braking system, believe me it works better than any inertia or time based control. It's also integrated into the driver's display, so information from the controller is right where it should be, on the instrument cluster, rather than on a tiny screen tucked under the dash.
