Plug and play (at least on Windows 10). Also works great with the built in microphone headset (designed for phones).
No problems with my setup on Windows 10. Plugged in Beats headphones and now everything sounds great and the built-in microphone worked automatically with no problems. I received this because there was background hiss on the motherboard when connected to an analog sound card and as expected given how digital audio works with USB connections there is none when using this product.
