Plug and play (at least on Windows 10). Also works great with the built in microphone headset (designed for phones).

No problems with my setup on Windows 10. Plugged in Beats headphones and now everything sounds great and the built-in microphone worked automatically with no problems. I received this because there was background hiss on the motherboard when connected to an analog sound card and as expected given how digital audio works with USB connections there is none when using this product.

On time and works well.

This saved my life. I have an old laptop that I love and can't afford to upgrade or replace at the moment and as the most important aspect is sound I panicked when I broke the solder on the audio connector. I looked at the options and immediately ordered this one. Arrived on time. I use it every day and so far it's holding up quite well. Happy with it. I work in acoustics, so how digital signaling processes work is very important to me. It's really a little different from the original port, but

Does not carry audio through a 30-pin connector or a lighting connector through a 3.5mm jack!

I couldn't get this to work. When connected to the 30-pin USB or Lightning to USB port on my iPod or iPad mini, the audio came out of the iPod or mini speakers and not through the UGREEN sound card to the 3.5mm input on my amp. When I tried using the 3.5mm jack as the USB output to my stereo amp's USB input, my amp tried to index my iPods but instead gave a "device error" and no sound. I was hoping to get audio from a 30 pin or lightning connector and split it so the audio goes from USB to myโ€ฆ

Still working great after 3+ years, but be prepared to hear a little bit of interference.

I bought this device in 2017 because I wanted to use a headset with a microphone and decided it would be more useful than an audio splitter. It worked very well. It's solidly made and the connections are secure with minimal slack - don't worry about loosening if you accidentally bump into the device. The sound and microphone quality is excellent, with no noticeable losses. After more than 3 years of almost daily use, it still works great and shows no signs of wear apart from a slight yellowingโ€ฆ

Easy. Worked immediately. The sound is ok.

I bought this to make it easier to work with some basic headphones with a built in mic on the same cable as I couldn't get them to work on the front inputs (it would detect if I put something in a Of them). Jack, but there was no sound and I couldn't be heard). Before purchasing I had (no problem) chatting in games via a USB controller using the controller's own 3.5mm headphone jack, but I wanted to make it a bit easier as I don't like big wireless gaming headsets. After a while I find thisโ€ฆ
