I bought this device in 2017 because I wanted to use a headset with a microphone and decided it would be more useful than an audio splitter. It worked very well. It's solidly made and the connections are secure with minimal slack - don't worry about loosening if you accidentally bump into the device. The sound and microphone quality is excellent, with no noticeable losses. After more than 3 years of almost daily use, it still works great and shows no signs of wear apart from a slight yellowing of the cable. My only complaint is that there is a constant faint static noise when using the headphones. It was very faint at first and over the years it either got louder or I notice it more because it keeps getting on my nerves. That's the only reason I'm replacing mine with another product.
