Have always had good luck with SanDisk products so I bought this and a new computer when my main PC started having problems due to an MS Windows 10 update. About 30GB key successfully downloaded installed files and data to this device and then connected it to a new Win10 PC which has been working fine for over a year. Successfully completed several major installations and migrations of SanDisk Ultra and then left it in place to serve as a data resource and backup media. recently had an opportunity to access Cruzer and found that its files are inaccessible. It was correctly removed and re-inserted into a different USB port and the system said it needed to be reformatted so anything stored on it would be lost. I used another flash drive to test both USB ports on the PC and they were fine. I've installed other flash drives in my computers the same way for years with no problems. I've seen the flash drive struggle with excessive I/O over time, but it was only used for passive storage, consuming a small fraction of the available capacity. I agree with other comments about the unreliability of the sliding mechanism, but since removal and reinstallation has been infrequent, this shouldn't be a problem unless poor contact is the cause of this failure.
