Excellent sharpener, best I've ever used except Apex. I have yet to burn through one of the diamond stones and they've seen their fair share of sharpening. However, this sharpener has its limitations and it took me some practice before I dared to touch an expensive knife with it. You need to know where to place the knife so the bevel is even. In other words, pay close attention to where the stones meet the blade to avoid extra work. You can't get a very sharp angle with a very small, narrow blade without hitting the clip. With the latest update they do not include a longer blade stabilizer for filleting knives or stamped knives. Just annoying having to toggle the riser on and off for a $150 upgrade. Some curves can be a nightmare and everything comes a la carte+ Gives me the sharpest edges I've ever been able to achieve on a microscopic level.
