I've been using it on my computer desk since I bought it and haven't had any problems. This ting is holding up like a champ. When I had to move it I was afraid it wouldn't survive. I first tried rinsing it with warm water as suggested but it didn't take hold. So I tried something else and now it's holding up like new. The solution was simple: rinse the suction cup with warm water for a minute. Take a dishwashing sponge and some liquid dish soap; (I used Scotchbrite sponge and Palmolive from the dollar store, but I don't think it matters much). Dampen the sponge with warm water and apply a spoonful of soap (the size of a pea) to the soft part of the sponge. Gently rub the suction cup, making sure to wipe from the center to the edges. Don't rub back and forth, the goal is to get dirt out around the edges. Rinse with warm water for 10-20 seconds. Wipe again with a soapy sponge. Ideally, it should be fairly smooth on the surface. Rinse again for about 10-20 seconds. Repeat with sponge and rinse. I used my computer desk leg but I think a bath would work as well. The idea here is to let it dry and minimize dust exposure. I let mine dry overnight. Make sure the surface of the object is clean. I wiped down my table with Windex Multi-Surface and then air blasted it. Apply again like the first time. That's all! Update: 12/31/2019 Shortly after submitting the review, I had to move, i.e. take it off and put it back on again. It won't last no matter what properties it's used up. Of course there are better ones. I halved my overall rating from 5 to 3 stars. I understand why this upsets people, especially when it's advertised as a re-pining. I think it works better in some cases than others, but overall it's not a very durable product.
