Fixed. Does the job cheap. Can't figure out how it takes off because it hit the window and has been stuck ever since. Saw 90+ degree days with sun to single digit wind showers. After 6 months the base fell apart. The base looks cheaply made and will break over time. The manufacturer also does not respond to warranty claims. Wow I've ordered magnet holders from Fonken and Bestek before, they're cool but this thing is hardcore! It's big (long neck), flexible and has a tensioner to fix the angle of the phone, all I wanted. The magnet is much stronger than my other magnet holders and holds my iPad Air with no problems (I put all the metal plates under the case to get a good cover). UPDATE: After 3 1/2 months I still like the mount but it does have a few downsides - DO NOT remove after initial installation. Even with a thorough cleaning in soapy water the product doesn't stay on the surface for more than 1 1/2 days (I use a window) - it's VERY difficult to remove initially which is GREAT! but it is meant to stay on the original surface (due to use I think) and not be removed. I've been using it on my computer desk since I bought it and haven't had any problems. This ting is holding up like a champ. When I had to move it I was afraid it wouldn't survive.
