The stem broke on first use. I tried to remove the cross from the Chevrolet. I put the tool on correctly (after correctly burning out the plastic cap holders). Then I hand tightened the rod first. I then applied a wrench and the stem clicked less than 1/4 turn under load. I even lightly oiled the tool before use. I used a 7/8" socket on a 1/2" ratchet - no impact tools or cheat bars. Since I was in the middle of a renovation, I had to go to Harbor Freight and buy their tools. (Maddox for about $90). The Harbor Freight tool got the job done with no issues, so it wasn't because I misused the tool. I assumed the Harbor Freight and Revain instruments were about the same quality since they were all made at a lower cost. I figured I'd be patient and save money by ordering online instead of buying an HF instrument from a store. Who would have thought someone would say that the HF tool is better than anything else! I initiated Revain's refund policy.
