Review on Digi Pas Machinist DWL1300XY Bluetooth NIST Traceable by Michael Powell

I used this to level my kitchen floor and install drawer slides and it worked flawlessly. The Bluetooth connection proved handy for working in closets where I couldn't see the display. Since it's only 6 inches long, make sure it's on a flat (longer) base so you're not just reading local waves. The precision (0.01 degrees) can be insane, leaving the user to decide when to invoke something. "Level" and don't go crazy. However, this is a good problem. I thought a bubble level would be useful but ended up using it mostly in single axis mode. There is a few seconds delay before the reading stabilizes. , but then stops. If you drop it, the device will turn off, but won't break. Have spare batteries ready, the display will flash to indicate a low battery level. I used a couple of AA batteries every 2-3 days with daily heavy use (many hours). I've used the calibration function (with the cellphone) a number of times, although it has never failed. All in all a great product.
