Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Anastazja Staniszews ᠌

Poor quality, not suitable for use.

Optima car 2022, before Michelin it was r17 215 * 55 nexen "gift" from the salon, it dragged in corners, I thought it was bad tires, I wanted Nokian 8 or 7, but it turned out that I bought X-Ice North 4. I quietly ran it in, but then snow fell, and there was ice under the snow in the yards, and other places. A typical winter has arrived, and while it's possible that my automobile isn't equipped for the season, she shouldn't be driving this rubber either. Through the turns, it glides just like nexen, but now the car does not slow down at the safest speeds; literally at 20 kilometers per hour, you have to preserve a good distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. In the event of an emergency, when I apply the brakes, the anti-lock braking system makes a chirping sound, the vehicle accelerates impressively, there is no reaction, the stopping distance is great, my hair is gray, I have never felt so insecure on any car during the winter, and rubber, in that order. After the snowfalls, I decided to cease driving on the highway, and I'm currently waiting for the asphalt to dry. I've been driving for 15 years, and based on my experience, I can state without a doubt that these little Michelin spikes do not provide any traction on ice. Sure, there are a lot of them, but they are ridiculously small, they stick out a little bit, they can't support 1.5 tons, and they don't hold cars. After the spikes fall off, there will probably be a good Velcro suitable for a dry cold or a wet mild winter. I was persuaded to purchase it after reading a review of it in a reputable publication; nevertheless, I no longer believe what they say. If there is ice on the road, the spikes should be much larger; otherwise, this is some type of experiment being conducted on people!

Pros
  • The spikes are still present despite the low noise and softness.
Cons
  • The front-wheel drive vehicle had poor stopping power and skidded over curves.
