This thermometer seemed to work fine. The display measures the internal temperature of the freezer and displays it on the pressure gauge. At times it seemed like it would lose connection, but I assumed that most of the time it was read accurately and intermittent connection issues wouldn't matter. I was wrong. We had a pressure gauge in the house and a freezer in the garage. Our garage freezer was overheating and we were never warned. With sadness we went outside in the morning and lost a freezer full of groceries. We thought the sensor might be too far from the freezer, so we placed the sensor right in front of the freezer in the garage and hoped the beep would be heard. out of the house when we need it. We lost another freezer full of groceries last night. The alarm clock never rang and this morning the sensor just went blank. Perhaps the freeze protection is too strong for this model to communicate about. I'm so mad at myself for losing another freezer full of frozen food. I'm going to buy something different today. Maybe 2 versions of something else. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS MODEL!
