About 10 days looks great and very beautiful. It absolutely kills batteries. After 14 days, the display is so dark that it can no longer be read. I have tested this with several batteries/battery brands. I like the notes in the description, it says something like #3; "Don't put the receiver next to metal" but it comes with 4 magnets built into the back cover.

So far so good. As you can see all the parts are side by side and in three different tempos, albeit close together. I couldn't get the reset button to work, but it's easy to remove the battery. The magnets are small but appear to be strong. UPDATE 10/22/18: After using it for a few weeks I'm pretty sure this update is MUCH faster than the Accurate brand freezer alarm. seems like a great item. u MUST use LITHIUM batteries for freezer use. they can be operated at lower temperatures. where conventional batteries do not work at such low temperatures and no data is transmitted from receivers to the display. I use this to control the temperature in the greenhouse and outside in winter. I find I prefer this one to the older one. Better size, bigger display, more intuitive. As others have said, for the coldest temperatures in this gauge, lithium batteries should be used, not rechargeable ones. I've found that rechargeable batteries work great in the fridge. Before I bought this I had a LaCrosse wireless thermometer with a sensor for the fridge. But this one had a magnet AND a second sensor, so it's a small but useful upgrade. However, I have ANOTHER LaCrosse sensor (for a wireless weather station) outside, 30 feet and on the other side of 3 walls, one of which is concrete. Had to return this product after only 2 days due to breakage, I notified Revain and they sent replacements straight away. They sent a shipping label with the new unit to send back the defective UPS unit. Hassle-free, without delays and free of charge. You couldn't wish for better.
