seems like a great item. u MUST use LITHIUM batteries for freezer use. they can be operated at lower temperatures. where conventional batteries do not work at such low temperatures and no data is transmitted from receivers to the display. It's nice to keep an eye on the temperature via the display on the fridge with our monthly calendar. So you know at first glance that everything is in order. that's why i bought this. The compressor relay failed and ruined our entire meal. Wife didn't use a freezer until I bought this. Peace of mind is what it gives you. The alarm is loud enough to be heard around the house. The kids "barely" left the freezer compartment on the fridge open and it alerted me when it was outside my set temperature range. Also great price. will be updated if my mind changes
