I bought it for my granddaughter. For the price this is a great product! It's easy to use when you thread all the holes, but it comes with a needle threader to help you with that. My advice: let your father play with excitement. I thought it wouldn't work until my husband played with the tension knob, inserted the thread between the wheels - everything works great now! I wanted to send it back because I couldn't tighten it properly when trying. So just be patient. My 6 year old granddaughter loves it! You are doing great! She made a doll blanket!
