good new aperture universal 50mm. in crop mode 1.6, you can take pictures as at 80mm. while 1.2 is preserved. nice new lens. quality, fast. The Canon R focuses quickly and accurately. after a few months I will add that I really like the lens. I don’t use crop 1.6 in crop mode. I shoot mostly outdoors. the video is beautiful. focus does not crawl. auto focus is smooth and precise. Pros below: Pts sharp on all edges and corners. much better technically than 50 / 1.2 ef on mirrorless cameras there are no questions about back / front focus. finally you can (need) ate the firmware on the lenses Cons below: expensive of course. even taking into account the cashback from canon there is no such air as EF / there is sharpness and clarity, but the picture is not the same
