I have an old shabby outdoor pool table; I used Home Depot black construction plastic and a waterproof tarp to cover it in the winter and it worked great. The black plastic is ugly and will tear in high winds, and canvas loses waterproofing over time, plus it's expensive. I bought this tarp to replace my previous two solutions but found it didn't hold water very well. It's much easier to install than black plastic because it has rings on the corners, but moisture gets in pretty quickly. Back to black plastic. This tarp is good for items that need to be fairly dry, which is why I now use it to cover patio furniture.
