The device shakes a little more than I think but not so much as to cause any inconvenience. A little more insulation can keep the temperature more constant. The device is only in Celsius, which isn't a big deal, but it's just counter-intuitive as to what 27C means to us folks in the US. Also, the temperature of the device has a shift of 3-4 degrees from top to bottom! In my opinion, that's quite a lot, so you need to be aware of that, especially if you're doing something that requires strict temperature control. I would suggest using a thermometer to check the temperature on the top and bottom shelves using the number on the unit. The display speaks of a shift of 0.5 degrees Celsius. Inaccurate in our unit. The dealer was EXTREMELY helpful in getting the unit asap. Five stars to the retailer for responding to our request to get it to us asap. In general, the device works well. You just need to consider the temperature difference from the top shelf to the bottom shelf. We enjoy the device as it is.
