Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Omnidirectional Outdoor FM Antenna by Josh Maher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It could solve your problem for a modest price and with a minimum of fuss.

I wanted to improve my FM reception as we are listening to two hard to reach stations; a weak local station (we live in the Buffalo area) and one from Toronto about 60 miles away in a straight line. While reviews of this antenna were generally good, I initially didn't purchase it for two reasons: 1) I didn't want to mount it outdoors, and 2) the claimed range is only 35 miles. Several reviewers said they'd used it successfully internally and the price was right, so I decided to take a chance. It was easy to put together (despite the opinion of some reviewers) and I'm not too comfortable with it. I needed a converter to connect two 300 ohm wires on the back of my FM tuner to a 75 ohm coax connector on the antenna. This converter was only $5 and was also available from Revain. When I connected the antenna, I simply placed it on the high cabinet where my stereo is. You're unlikely to be able to see it there, so the fact that it looks like it's mounted on a roof is irrelevant. Above all, the reception on my two difficult stations has improved significantly. This was important because we are listening to FM on a high quality stereo system which amplifies any hiss and hiss coming from the cheap dipole antenna I used previously. As far as I know the product is a winner, although I don't live in a remote area. I suppose,
