WOW - it really works!

This antenna really works! I bought a Sangean HDT-1 tuner to listen to a jazz station about 40 miles away. I connected the TV antenna on the roof and could not receive a station. Then I used the included di-pole antenna which gives such-and-such results. When the weather was good, I could usually turn on the jazz station, but it often went out. When this antenna from Stellar Labs arrived, I assembled it and placed it on the dining room table. As soon as I connected the antenna cable to my…

I got these to replace a cheap wire antenna.

I bought these to replace the cheap wire antenna that comes with most receivers/tuners, but wanted something inexpensive for indoor use and small enough not to be visible on an equipment rack. I've had bad luck with amplified indoor antennas in the past. This works very well. The mounted antenna ring is 18" in diameter, but the longest length is only 19" due to the crossbar (see photo). The height is basically 3 inches (see photos, one of these has a 3 inch tape on the end) except the 75 ohm…

A little "tuning " helped a lot.

I am a retired electronics technician. He worked for RCA TV in the '60s, Aerospace in the '70s and '90s, and Satellite in the '80s and '00s. RF technology can be exciting and sometimes predictable. And anyone who has ever had trouble connecting their favorite TV channel to bunny ears has seen this "trick". I was able to upgrade most of the FM stereos I wanted by having the antenna mounted to the ceiling of the garage where I have the stereo. The elements are quite rigid and getting the ends…

I wanted to improve my FM reception as we are listening to two hard to reach stations; a weak local station (we live in the Buffalo area) and one from Toronto about 60 miles away in a straight line. While reviews of this antenna were generally good, I initially didn't purchase it for two reasons: 1) I didn't want to mount it outdoors, and 2) the claimed range is only 35 miles. Several reviewers said they'd used it successfully internally and the price was right, so I decided to take a chance…
