I ordered this a while ago and only started using it a month ago. I used it 24/7 with a 115Ah deep cycle battery with a Rich Solar solar panel. I haven't had any problems yet and am adding a few more panels. The negative reviews are probably unfounded. Mounting holes are typical for this type of device. The case is made of plastic. Also, it should be noted that I didn't try to charge anything directly from the USB sockets. I'm using 10 gauge wire and it's fused on both ends like everyone else. Finally, I'm not sure how a civilian would be able to tell if it's an MPPT. I wish the negative review had elaborated on that. Everything else is good and I will update in a month with USB charge confirmation. (I was able to confirm most of the variables with my multimeter. Everything was there.)
